YES! Kids need adjustments, too!
Dr. Sarah offers a natural, gentle, and safe solution to keeping your children developing at their full, innate potential.
Meet Dr. Sarah
An East Texas native, Dr. Sarah began working as a Chiropractor in April of 2018. She graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Parker University in December 2017. In 2011, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches where she graduated Cum Laude.
Dr. Sarah is passionate about shifting her community’s perspective on health by educating them about their body’s innate potential and ability to heal from within through Chiropractic care. She believes it is better to set a foundation for health early in life as opposed to learning new habits as an adult. She is certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in the Webster Technique which a technique used during pregnancy to help restore proper neuorbiomechanical function to the body to optimize birth outcomes, and she is continuing her education in pediatrics.
Away from the office, Dr. Sarah spends her free time going on adventures with her soulmate, Cody, and her bonus kiddos Cason, Chayton, and Coy, learning to garden, trying to keep her house plants alive, cooking new recipes, coaching little league, playing softball and volleyball, fishing, two-stepping at Texas Country concerts, and day dreaming of catching rays on the beach.
Amazing Chiropractic Adjustments
Reclaim your health and vitality by having your spine and nervous system checked for stress. Adjustments naturally help remove stress and interference in your body resulting in greater health.
Daily thoughts, environmental toxins, and bodily trauma can all cause our bodies to be at dis-ease. That dis-ease manifests itself as subluxation or misalignment. When segments of the spine and pelvis are misaligned, this affects the nervous system. This system works tirelessly day in day out to coordinate every function of your body.
We can also experience pain or discomfort. An adjustment restores proper motion in the segments that are misaligned which relieves nerve pressure and allows for vital messages to be sent and received by the brain, the muscles, the organs, and the glands.
Anyone with a nervous system can benefit from Chiropractic care!
Prenatal & Postnatal Care
Pregnancy changes a woman’s body drastically to provide the safest, most optimal environment for a baby to develop with no external help. As the body grows during this time, subluxations (or spinal and pelvic misalignments) can form as the body adapts to it’s new normal.
Misalignments in the spine and pelvis put pressure on surrounding nerves and affect the ability of the body to function properly. As a result the mother can experience symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, nausea, reflux, indigestion, headaches, sciatica, as well as pelvic, low back, and round ligament discomfort.
Being checked and adjusted by a chiropractor during pregnancy can lead to decreased expression of the above mentioned symptoms by relieving pressure on the spine and nerves, as well as improved posture, less stress, more energy, more room for baby to grow and move, shorter labor times, improved recovery from labor & delivery, and a stronger connection between mom and baby.
Chiropractic & the Kiddos
Subluxations occur as a normal part of daily life as a result from physical, chemical or emotional stresses and these stresses are not just limited to adults. Think of how many times kiddos take a fall when learning to stand and walk.

There is also research that suggests that even before a baby is born, subluxations can occur as a result of awkward positioning, restricted movement or toxin exposure in the womb. There is no age limit to obtaining subluxations or being checked and adjusted by a Chiropractor. Clinical studies indicate that rapid growth of the entire brain occurs during the first year of life.
Sources state that, although the first year of life may be a period of developmental vulnerability it may also be a period in which therapeutic interventions would have the greatest positive effect. Special techniques have been developed for infant and pediatric adjusting that are safe, gentle, and effective.
The Webster Technique
Dr. Sarah is certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in the Webster Technique which is an analysis and adjustment which aims to restore proper neurobiomechanical function during pregnancy to provide for a more comfortable pregnancy and optimize birthing outcomes. What Does a Chiropractor Do &
How Can it Benefit Me & My Family?
Daily thoughts, environmental toxins, and bodily trauma can all cause our bodies to be at
dis-ease. That dis-ease manifests itself as subluxation or misalignment. When segments of the spine and pelvis are misaligned, this affects the nervous system. The nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord, and all of the nerves that branch from the spinal cord.
The nervous system works tirelessly day in day out to coordinate every function of your body; both the functions that you can control such as using your muscles to complete a task and the functions that occur repeatedly without thought such as your heart pumping blood through your body, your digestive tract processing your food and extracting vital nutrients to be used, as well as your pancreas regulating your blood sugar and so forth and so on. When spinal segments are misaligned pressure is exerted onto nearby nerves and that interferes with nerve impulses being transmitted in the body.
As a result, we can see decreased function of the muscles, organs, glands, or tissues that are controlled by that specific nerve due to a lack of optimal communication between the brain and body as well as between the body and the brain.
Chiropractic removes these subluxations by means of the Chiropractic Adjustment. The adjustment restores proper motion in the segments that are misaligned or fixated which relieves nerve pressure and allows for vital messages to be sent and received by the brain, the muscles, the organs, and the glands.
What to Expect from Dr. Sarah
Coming into a new facility can be uncomfortable and create some nervousness. We’re here to ease your mind and help navigate you through this process as best as we can. Please feel free to contact us prior to your visit to confirm any questions or address any concerns you have about chriopractic.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
On the day of your initial appointment, we will have about 10 minutes of paperwork when you arrive. After that is completed, we will take you back to the exam room where you will have a consultation and exam with Dr. Sarah. The exam will consist of taking your vitals, doing a posture analysis, a neurological scan with our INSiGHT scanning technology, palpation of the spine and surrounding soft tissues, as well as orthopedic testing. As long as there are no red flags and no further evaluation is necessary you will receive an adjustment on your first visit. After the adjustment, your follow up appointment will be scheduled. Expect the first appointment to take an hour. Please bring your drivers license to the first appointment.
WHY DO I NEED A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT?
Most health struggles we face do not arise over night. They can take weeks, months, and years to develop before we perceive their effects. In order to work through these issues a series of adjustments may be required to restore your health and get you back into tip-top shape so your body can adapt to any stress life may present to you.
On your follow up appointment, Dr. Sarah will discuss with you the findings from your exam and her plan of action on what can be done in the office to get you functioning and feeling your best! You will also receive another adjustment on this visit if you accept care. Expect this appointment to take 30 minutes. Any appointments, following your second, will take 15 minutes or less.
